Vegetable Puffs made by Potato and Peas
Preparation of
Vegetable Stuffing:
Boiled Potatoes And Peas |
Ingredients:
- 6 Potatoes,
- 1 cup Green Peas
- 3 Onion in chopped condition
- 3 Green Chillies
- 1 Tomato
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tbsp Red Chili Powder
- ¾ tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 2 tsp Lemon Jice
- Salt as needed
- Coriander in chopped condition
For Tempering:
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seed
- 8 Curry Leaves
- ¾ tsp Jeera Cumin
- 3 tsp Urad Dal
- 3 tsp Chana Dal

1st Step – Potato and
Peas preparation: Cut the 6
potatoes into big pieces. Wash potatoes and peas and keep them aside. Then boil
potatoes and peas together in a pressure cooker in 2 whistles only. When
pressure got released then filters the water. Wash in cold water once again as you can
mash it easily by hand.
2nd Step – Tempering
and Frying: Heat oil in non-stick
pan add mustard seeds in it, when it sprinkles, add cumin seeds, urad dal,
chana dal, curry leaves, onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and
salt and fry until the raw flavor goes
away. When fine aroma comes out then add chopped tomatoes and fry for 5
minutes.

3rd Step – Curry
Preparation / Masala: Now add all
the masala powder and continue fry for 10 minutes. Then add mashed potatoes and
green peas. Mix all these together well and cook in a light flame for 5
minutes. Now turn of the heat, add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
4th Step – Vegetable
Curry for Puffs Stuffing: Mix all
the above ingredients finely once again. Now you are ready for stuffing or
filling puffs.

5th Step – Puffs
Pastry Sheet Dough: Now open the
Pastry sheet dough and make it straight without any rollovers.
6th Step – Puffs Shape
Cutting: Cut the pastry sheet
dough in a square or rectangular shapes so that the curry filling could be
wrapped properly.
7th Step – Stuff
Filling: Now start filling the
sheet roll and make sure that the edges are little thick compare to whole body.
8th Step – For Baking
Puffs: Heat the pan for few
minutes and keep it in oven for 10 minutes at low heat. Now turn the puffs and
again let it cook for another 5 minutes. Finished your cooking and golden brown
vegetable puffs are ready for serve.
Special Note: Puffs filling of this recipe can be change as
chicken or meat variety instead of potatoes and peas for non vegetarian.
